Abstract: Recently renewed interest in future hadron colliders has raised various new challenges and opportunities. One such issue is potentially large logarithms of ratios of scales in processes involving top quarks at very high energies. We examine the consequences of resumming these logarithms into a parton distribution function (PDF) for the top quark. We show that the effect of using a top PDF at a 100 TeV collider is less than that of using a bottom PDF at the LHC, and illustrate our findings with a calculation of charged Higgs production.
