It is a kind of miracle that anybody can learn the native language seemingly without much effort and use it more less freely. In this seminar I shall describe a tentative picture of the human faculty of language as a whole based upon recent knowledge of the brain science. There are many questions such as why one can encode and memorize so many different words without much efforts, why one can construct and speak various sentences in a correct way following rules of the grammer even without explicite learning of the grammer, where and how the laws of grammer are encoded and stored in the brain, and so forth. I shall try to present one possible way to answer these questions. I also would like to explain recent findings related to the mathematical faculty of human beings and give a brief description of how our brains can handle logical thinkings.
