| Abstract: |
The so-called fluxtrap background in string theory gives rise to a large variety of deformed supersymmetric gauge theories when branes are placed inside it. The best-known example is Nekrasov's Omega-deformed 4d gauge theories, other examples are 2d gauge theories with twisted masses and N=2* theory, to name just a few. In this part I, we will review the fluxtrap and general principles of how to construct a variety of deformed gauge theories in it. |
