| Abstract: | dS/CFT is a proposal for understanding quantum gravity in de Sitter spacetime via a dual conformal field theory. I will overview the proposal and speak about recent technical progress in the conjectured duality between four-dimensional higher-spin gravity in the bulk and a free or critical theory of scalars or fermions on the boundary. Specifically, I will discuss an extension of the duality to include Chern-Simons gauge fields and will provide calculational evidence for its validity. A distinct portion of the talk will consist of discussing the case of three-dimensional de Sitter in Einstein gravity; I will provide new evidence for the understanding of the statistical entropy of the cosmological horizon through a count of local operators in the dual field theory. |
