I'll describe 3 topics that are (somewhat) related. First, I'll discuss a novel method to simulate nonlinear structure formation in cosmologies with hot particles, such as massive neutrinos and warm/hot dark matter, that suppresses the numerical artifacts that have plagued previous simulations. Secondly, I'll present preliminary results of our simulations for cosmologies with massive neutrinos, and I will describe a possibly new signature of neutrino mass in large-scale structure. Finally, time permitting, I'll introduce a project using ALMA to probe halo substructure in strong gravitational lensing systems, which should dramatically improve constraints on DM variants like warm dark matter. |
