Georgi-Machacek model has many interesting features. Its Higgs sector contains a set of triplet fields with a potential that can preserve the custodial SU(2)_C symmetry at tree level, thereby allowing a large triplet vacuum expectation value. The model provides a mechanism, known as the type-II seesaw mechanism, to generate Majorana mass for neutrinos. Due to the SU(2)_C symmetry, the particles in the Higgs sectors can be classified into two singlets, one 3-plet, and one 5-plet with degenerate mass in each representation. Denoting the SM-like Higgs boson by h, the hVV couplings can be possibly larger than their SM values. We study collider signatures of the exotic Higgs bosons. Using latest LHC data for the 125-GeV Higgs boson and searches for other Higgses, we put constraints on the parameter space of the model. |
