| Abstract: | Today's understanding of the sub-atomic particles is aptly described by what is now called the "Standard Model", a set of equations for a theory of quantised fields. The Large Hadron Collider, the most powerful particle collider on Earth, will challenge this model. It is suspected that more, very heavy particles exist, and forces that come from outside the Standard Model. Physicist all over the world are hoping for surprises. |
