I will present cosmic shear measurements from the Dark Energy Survey, a five-year, five-band imaging survey with DECam on the Blanco telescope. These measurements require detailed work, from the reduction of pixel data all the way through to the generation of ray traced simulations for the computation of the measurement covariances. I will touch on this full range of required steps, highlighting the extensive suite of null tests used to verify the fidelity of the measurements. Furthermore, I hope to demonstrate how ray traced simulations can play a vital role in the data analysis process. Finally, I will briefly discuss future work and simulations required to complete the analysis of the final DES dataset. |
