The moduli space of complex algebraic curves carry a natural Kaehler structure given by the Weil-Petersson metric. The volumes of moduli spaces with respect to the Weil-Petersson metric are interesting invariants that appear naturally in both mathematics and theoretical physics. We propose a fast algorithm for computing Weil-Petersson volumes that leads to a conjectural formula for their large genus asymptotic behavior. |
