Abstract: |
The search for new physics at the LHC inspires and necessitates advancement at the frontiers of experiment, physics and mathematics. A particularly exciting aspect of this program is the interchange of ideas between these fields. In this talk I will explore research at this collision of frontiers, and the important role it will play in understanding the fundamental laws of nature over the coming years. Topics I will discuss include the influence of N=4 super Yang-Mills theory on precision collider phenomenology, and the search for interesting mathematical connections between the standard model and theories of higher symmetry. |
