| Abstract: | The superconformal index is an important quantity that captures the spectrum of BPS operators in superconformal field theories (SCFTs). Moreover, when focusing on 4d N=2 SCFTs, the index is known to be identical to the character of vertex operator algebras (or 2d chiral algebras). In this talk, I will focus on 4d N=2 SCFTs called Argyres-Douglas theories and explain our recent work on closed formulae for their superconformal indices, which are written in terms of q-deformed Yang-Mills theory on a Riemann surface. |
