| Abstract: | In the absence of new resonances, Effective Field Theories (EFT) quantify deviations from the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics. After a reminder about the conventional SM EFT I will introduce what has come to be called Higgs EFT and show how the latter contains the former. Recent progress on both theories including their 1-loop renormalization and the holomorphic structure that arises will be discussed. Finally some examples about the use of EFT in phenomenology will be outlined. |
