In this talk, I will discuss F-theory on elliptic Calabi-Yau threefolds whose base is of the orbifold form B = T4/Zn✕Zm. I will show that for many of these cases the field theory sectors are captured by coupling specific 6d (1, 0) SCFT's together. I will also introduce a conjecture that the 2d (0, 4) supersymmetric field theories on the associated strings lead to holographic dual descriptions of AdS3✕S3✕B. In particular, for the case of B = T4/Z2✕Z2, I will present an explicit 2d quiver gauge theory dual. |
