| Abstract: | The aim of the present talk is to introduce a Lie algebra associated with the circle and its quantum enveloping algebra. During the first part, I will use a "friendly" algebraic approach to define the former. In the second part of the talk, I will provide a geometric realization of the latter together with its fundamental (tensor) representations. Such a geometric approach is based on the theory of Hall algebras of (stacky) curves. |
