Abstract: |
Axions represent one of the most promising dark matter candidates to date. Although recent experiments have made huge progress, the axion parameter space remains relatively unexplored. I will discuss recent proposals to search for axion dark matter using astrophysical observations. In particular, I will focus on how neutron stars’ high magnetic fields can induce axion-photon conversion to produce radio emission. Furthermore, I will show how a dark matter density spike around an intermediate mass black hole allows us to be sensitive to the QCD axion with multi-messenger observations. |
