Abstract: |
Many theoretically well-motivated models predict the decay of dark matter with lifetimes much longer than the age of the Universe. This can potentially lead to peculiar features in the observed cosmic-ray fluxes, like a rise in the positron fraction, a dipole-like anisotropy in the apparent extragalactic gamma-ray background or sharp gamma-ray lines. In this talk, firstly I will review the interpretation of the PAMELA positron excess in terms of decaying dark matter, and I will discuss observational prospects for and constraints from the recent gamma-ray observations by Fermi LAT. Secondly, I will discuss gamma-ray lines in the context of a concrete model with decaying hidden SU(2) vector dark matter. |
