Abstract: | The see-saw paradigm is a beautiful minimum scenario that explains two outstanding mysteries from the standard model - the origin of neutrino masses and the asymmetry between matter and anti-matter. The unpleasant reality for phenomenologists is that the typical energy scales involved are far too high to be analysed on Earth. This is where cosmological probes can be potentially powerful. I will present two cosmological probes - the production of gravitational waves via cosmic strings and the requirement that the Universe exists after reheating. Both of these probes give surprisingly powerful constraints on the parameters space. |
