Abstract: | The abundance of primordial black holes (PBHs) heavier than a few solar masses is strongly constrained by the cosmic microwave background (CMB), which is sensitive to changes in the ionization history caused by accretion of gas onto PBHs. Typically it has been assumed that the PBHs accrete from a uniform matter distribution; however, this may not be the case if dark matter can cluster at high redshifts. In this talk I will discuss nonlinear structure formation in PBH cosmologies, and how taking it into account can improve CMB constraints. |
