Abstract: Sub-mm/mm observations over the past decade revealed the dust and gas properties of not only IR-bright galaxies but also UV/optical-selected galaxies at high redshifts. At z > 3, however, the number of UV/optical-selected galaxies with individual gas measurements is still limited. I will introduce our work investigating dust and gas content in star-forming galaxies at z 〜 3.3, whose gas-phase metallicities were already measured. By probing gas mass fraction and metallicity, we study how galaxies interact with the circumgalactic/intergalactic medium at z 〜 3.3. I will also show our recent results obtained from ALMA observations of massive quiescent galaxies at z > 3.5.
