Abstract: |
The moduli space of Riemann surfaces is a widely studied geometrical space. Motivated by the idea of supersymmetry in physics, the definition of a Riemann surface generalizes into a super Riemann surface (SRS). A major application of the moduli space of SRSs is the computation of scattering amplitudes in superstring theory. Mathematically, this computation is an integration over this moduli space (with punctures on the SRS included). I will discuss the challenges of performing such integrals, with a focus on the vacuum amplitude and holomorphic methods. |
