The (super) Mumford form is a horizontal section over the moduli space of (SUSY) curves which provides the appropriate measure of calculating scattering amplitudes in (super) string theory. We describe how the (super) Mumford form is derived from the (super) Sato Grassmannian. This relationship in the classical case was found in the late 80s by Kontsevich; Arbarello, De Concini, Kac, Procesi; and Kawamoto, Namikawa, Tsuchiya, Yamada. In light of more recent results, we discuss possibilities for using such an extended Mumford form. |
