Aspects of the theory of neutrino oscillation tomography of the Earth will be considered. We will discuss the sensitivity of the method to deviations of the Earth i) outer core (OC) density, ii) inner core(IC) density, iii) total core density, and iv) mantle density, from their respective Preliminary Reference Earth Model(PREM) values using the specific case of the ORCA detector in the Mediterranean sea. General observations about the goals and the methods used in the studies of neutrino (oscillation)tomography of the Earth will also be made. |
