Abstract: |
Space Enterprise at Berkeley is a student-run liquid-fuel rocket club dedicated to developing rocket technologies at the University of California, Berkeley. Despite being relatively young, SEB is one of the most ambitious college rocket teams in the world. SEB’s mission is to send a fully student-designed, student-built liquid bipropellant rocket past the Kármán Line, to space. Working toward this dream, we have launched multiple test-bed rockets including Eureka-1 and Eureka-2, UC Berkeley’s first liquid-fueled rockets, and completed over 24 static fire tests over the past three years. We’ve also developed and tested many unique and innovative systems at an unmatched pace, including automatic electronic pressure regulators, a robust data acquisition and controls system with fully custom electronics and software, thrust vector control, engine throttling, additively-manufactured airframes, and live video telemetry – gaining a wide range of technical knowledge along the way. In this talk, I will discuss SEB’s past and current projects, and the systems and approaches that we’re using to create Eureka-3, our rocket that will reach the Kármán line. https://www.berkeleyse.org/ |
