Title: Doubly-holographic BCFTs in N=4 SYM

Abstract: Many observables in 4d N=4 SYM with Gaiotto-Witten boundary conditions can be described exactly by matrix models via supersymmetric localization. In string theory, the BCFTs are realized by D3-branes ending on D5 and NS5 branes. The boundary itself becomes holographic when the degrees of freedom are large, realizing a top-down version of "double holography." We derive the saddle points dominating these matrix models at large N, which can also be independently derived in the supergravity holographic dual and provide a precision test of AdS/BCFT. We further derive one-point functions for 4d chiral primary operators, which show manifest covariance under S-duality. This talk is based on arxiv: 2501.07630 and 2409.13016.
