Title: Low-Scale Seesaw Mechanism: Determining the Majorana Nature of Heavy Neutrinos
Date (JST): Wed, Oct 21, 2026, 13:30 - 15:00
Place: Seminar Room A
Abstract: We investigate the possibility to determine the Majorana nature of the heavy Majorana neutrinos present in the low-scale type I seesaw mechanism of neutrino mass generation in experiments at $e^+ \text{-} e^-$ and $\mu^+ \text{-} \mu^-$ colliders. This is done on the examples of two specific symmetry-protected seesaw scenarios with two right-handed (RH) singlet neutrinos and one seesaw realisation with three RH neutrinos.
We use the forward-backward symmetry in the angular distribution of the heavy neutral leptons produced in the $e^+ \text{-} e^-$ and $\mu^+ \text{-} \mu^-$ collisions as an indicator of their Majorana nature.
