IPMU was approved to address five basic questions about the Universe How did the Universe begin? What is it made of? What is its fate? What are its fundamental laws? Why do we exist? I will discuss how I envisioned these questions are addressed by collaboration of mathematicians, theoretical physicists, experimental physicists, and astronomers. Dark matter and dark energy are the prime topics behind these questions. |
