| Abstract: | I explain what are linear free divisors in general, and their description a discriminant of a particular class of prehomogeneous space, and then focus on those which arise as representation spaces of a quiver. I prove that the quivers which give rise to a (reduced) linear free divisor are trees and finally that all those which are attached to a Dynkin or to a tame quiver have the (local) logarithmic comparison property.
