Title:	Some recent results on microstate geometries.

Abstract:	I will briefly summarize the main physical rationale for and status of so-called microstate geometries which have played an important role in improving our understanding of black holes. Then I will discuss some new results, in particular a new class of hairy black holes and new supertube solutions, and some open problems.
