Parton distribution functions are key ingredients for theoretical predictions for inclusive cross sections at hadron colliders. Over the years, major efforts have been mede by several groups to reduce the PDF uncertainty, especially to meet the demands of precise measurements at the LHC. In this talk, I will summarize the formal definition of the PDFs in the framework of perturbative QCD, and introduce some recent developments in PDF determination. Then I will talk on our analysis of the impact of large uncertainty in the s-quark distribution implied by recent HERMES data on the CDF dijet anomaly. |
