Abstract: The BESIII is a high precision general purpose detector which is
designed for the high luminosity e+e- collider BEPCII running at the tau-charm energy region, located in Beijing.

The main drift chamber (MDC) is the most important and the only tracking sub-detector. The physics programs of BESIII experiment require highly accurate track information both near the interaction point and the outmost layer of MDC, which is achieved
by the Kalman filter track fitting system. This system carefully handles the effects of energy loss,
multiple scattering, non-uniform of the magnetic field, wire sag, etc. Successfully tested and
characterized performance with Monte-Carlo simulation data and recent colliding beam data.

Very large anticipated data samples for partial wave analysis are a huge challenge for traditional computing methods at BESIII. We invented a method based on graphics processing unit (GPU) computing and using the BROOK+ stream programming language to accelerate the speed of such analyses. We have implemented a framework for the tensor manipulation and partial wave
fits called GPUPWA. Preliminary results show that the framework provides a speed-up of the partial wave fit by more than two orders of magnitude compared to the original FORTRAN code.
These topics will be presented.
