Dark matter in our universe is about five times more abundant than baryonic matter. Because this number is close to one, it is possible that the energy densities of these two forms of matter have a common origin. The so-called Asymmetric Darm Matter provides a framework, which has been widely explored, to explain such a coincidence. Recently, Cui, Randall and Shuve proposed an alternative scenario where they connect baryogenesis to WIMP dark matter annihilation, which they dubbed "WIMPy baryogenesis". In this talk I will first go over the generalities of WIMPy baryogenesis, then I will discuss a class of models that implement this mechanism, and I will show how experimental data put constraints on these models. |
