Searches for the Standard Model Higgs boson and measurements of the Higgs couplings to gauge bosons and fermions are some of the most important tasks at the LHC. Following the analysis of proton-proton collision data collected in 2011, an excess of events supporting a Higgs boson mass hypotheses of around 125 GeV with local significances of 2.9\sigma and 2.8\sigma were reported by ATLAS and CMS, respectively. On account of the successful operation of the LHC experiments in early 2012 (April-June), an additional 6fb^{-1} of 8TeV $pp$ collision data have been accumulated. In this seminar, the latest results from Standard Model Higgs boson searches with the CMS and ATLAS detectors will be presented. |
