| Abstract: | I will discuss tests that can falsify the cosmological constant and quintessence paradigms in favor of modified gravity or fifth force type models. In such models, modified forces are hidden locally by nonlinear screening mechanisms. Using the f(R) and DGP models as toy cases, I will discuss the chameleon and Vainshtein screening mechanisms in N-body simulations highlighting their similarities and differences. |
