Abstract: |
Twisted K-theory is a topological K-theory with certain local coefficients. It became familiar thanks to its ability to classify Ramond-Ramond charges of D-branes. Mickelsson's invariant is an invariant of odd twisted K-classes on 3-manifolds. This invariant detects some subtle information which cannot be captured by the Chern character. The theme of my seminar is to introduce a reformulation and some generalizations of the invariant. I also clarify relationship with the Atiyah-Hirzebruch spectral sequence. |
