| Abstract: | We give an overview on higher Chow groups. We review Bloch's construction of an element in the higher Chow group of the 2-fold product of a curve. We discuss a possible generalization of this construction and a strategy for proving that the element is nonzero. This is a work in progress joint with Sreekantan. |
