Regge theory has had a long impact in QCD physics relating the spectrum of the theory to high energy scattering amplitudes. We extend Regge theory to Conformal Field Theories and relate it to high energy scattering processes in the dual AdS space. As an application of this new formalism we consider the Pomeron (or dual AdS graviton) Regge trajectory in N=4 SYM, making non-trivial predictions for some OPE coefficients in this theory. We then use the AdS description of the Pomeron at strong coupling to construct a phenomenological model of low-x QCD processes dominated by Pomeron exchange, successfully reproducing DATA collected at HERA for processes as deep inelastic scattering (DIS), deeply virtual Compton scattering (DVCS) and vector meson production (VMP). |
