1) I study modeling of the Temperature Anisotropy in the Cosmic Microwave Background induced by the kinetic Sunyaev-Zel'dovich (kSZ) effect. The kSZ signal has information about spatial distribution of ionized IGM in the space. It receives a significant contribution from z>6, potentially allowing us to probe the reionization epoch. Therefore, I have worked on modeling the signal from post-reionization and during the reionization.

2) One of the important goals in the study of the epoch of reionization (EoR) is to account for the number of ionizing photons required to make reionization happen. While most efforts is focused on counting galaxies that sourced ionizing radiation, it is also required to model the recombination rate during the EoR to know how many photons we need per hydrogen atom. I model the recombination rate from small-scale density structure in hydrodynamic simulations.
