Last Update 2024/11/20

My research mainly focus on galaxy formation using hydrodynamical simulations. I try to characterize the role of the physical mechanisms that come into play such as merger events between galaxies (and dark matter haloes), mass accretion, the influence of feedback processes associated to star formation (e.g. UV-background, supernovae explosion) as well as black holes growth and associated active galactic nuclei (AGN) activity. I’m also performing simulations of Milky Way type galaxies for studies related to galactical archeology (e.g. formation of the thin/thick disks) or related to dark matter (in)direct detection (e.g. predictions of gamma-ray/neutrino signals and associated backgrounds).

On much larger scales (>1 Gpc), I take an interest in developing numerical methods in order to predict the clustering statistics in the Lyman-alpha forest as well as in the HI intensity mapping.
