My research focused on the evolution of galaxies: How galaxies formed stars and were assembled. The progress towards a coherent picture of this evolution is being driven rapidly by the emergence of new radio and millimeter-wave facilities that can peer through the thick dust prevalent in young galaxies at the peak of their assembly, redshifts 1 to 4, to reveal the interplay of star formation and supermassive black hole accretion. I look forward to join force with Kavli IPMU researchers to synergize these wavelengths with ongoing Projects at the Kavli IPMU.
