Complex simple Lie algebras and various algebras arising from their root systems (such as Hecke algebras and quantum groups) are important because they describe symmetries appearing in mathematical physics, integrable systems and so on. I am studying representation theory of such algebras with particular interests in their module categories and related geometric structures. The main motivation of my ongoing research is to understand the representation theory of affine quantum groups in a unified way for all root systems.
