I am working on the data analysis of large scales polarisation anisotropies of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) in the presence of Galactic foregrounds and systematic effects. In particular I work on the constraints of the tensor-to-scalar ratio, a possible smoking gun for the theory of cosmic inflation, as well as the measurement of the isotropic cosmic birefringence angle which could be a sign of the presence of new physics such as axion-like particles..
To be able to measure those quantities one needs to clean the data from Galactic foregrounds as well as systematic effects such as the polarisation angle of the telescope, of particular importance for isotropic birefringence. I work on methods able to mitigate those effects and retrieve the relevant cosmological parameters in a statistically robust manner.
